1. What is a DOT physical?

A DOT exam is a federally required medical evaluation that ensures commercial drivers are healthy and safe to operate commercial vehicles.

Most exams take around 20 minutes, depending on your medical history.

  • Glasses or contacts (if you wear them).
  • Medication list.
  • CPAP compliance report (if applicable).

Your provider will check:

The DOT urinalysis only checks:

NOT drugs.

We follow FMCSA guidelines:

  • You may still qualify for a 1-year certificate if it is controlled.

We can explain your options during your exam.
